Senior Building Surveyor (Ref: 1207)
The City is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join the City Growth team. This pivotal leadership position provides a senior level of building surveying practitioner support to the team and assists the Coordinator Building Surveying to deliver the City's building surveying services.
Key Accountabilities
* Process building applications of a range of complexity, including those that are the most complex, in accordance with the relevant statutory requirements.
* Assist the Coordinator with business planning and developing team capability including establishing team goals, work programs, professional development.
* Engage with a wide variety of stakeholders including other City departments, property owners, community members, consultants, government and other agencies.
* Prepare high quality reports for Council's consideration, implement Council resolutions, and provide regular progress reports as needed.

Position Requirements
The successful applicant should have formal qualifications and experience as a Building Surveying Practitioner Level 2. An Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Management will be highly regarded, as will previous experience in a supporting leadership role and team mentoring.
Completion of a pre‐employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration And Benefits
The Senior Building Surveyor position has a salary starting from $117,477 per annum or $59.45 per hour, offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
