We have an exciting position available which will be responsible for leading Sales and Events Team at the National Gallery of Victoria,
**THE POSITION**
- Oversight of Sales and Events performance across an iconic venue.
- Client management, event planning and clear guidance with regards to operational set up and delivery to best deliver successful events.
- Coaching and mentorship of sales and event team to optimise performance and development.
- Support continuous business development.
- Take ownership of annual sales targets within assigned accounts.
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Understand category-specific landscapes and trends.
- Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.
**PERSON**
- Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
- Proven ability to position products against competitors.
- Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
- Experience with Momentus Priva Events CRM desirable.
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience within the catering or hospitality industry preferred but not essential.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
- MS Office experience desirable.
- Valid Australian Police check
