**Estimator / Pre-Construction & Technical Lead

A specialist civil contractor delivering large-scale limestone retaining walls across Western Australia, including major infrastructure and land development projects.
We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Pre-Construction & Technical Lead to take ownership of scope from tender through construction and play a key role in the next stage of our growth.
This is a senior, end-to-end role for someone who understands that good estimating doesn't stop at tender it protects delivery, margin, and client outcomes during construction.
About The Role
You will own scope integrity from first drawings through to construction, working closely with project and site teams to ensure work is well-defined, risks are understood, and changes are identified early.

Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction / Estimating
* Review drawings, specifications, and scope
* Prepare accurate estimates and quantity take-offs
* Identify and document assumptions, exclusions, and risks
* Participate in estimate reviews focused on risk and strategy
Post-Award / Construction Support
* Review drawing revisions and identify scope changes
* Support technical queries and RFIs
* Identify and support pricing of variations
* Maintain clear communication with project and site teams
Systems & Improvement
* Follow and improve estimating and pre-construction systems
* Contribute to checklists, templates, and documentation
* Support consistency and knowledge transfer across the business
About You
You are:
* Experienced in civil construction, estimating, engineering, or pre-construction
* Comfortable owning scope and making judgement calls
* Structured, organised, and process-driven
* Calm under ambiguity and able to document assumptions clearly
* A strong communicator with both office and site teams
Formal qualifications are valued, but practical judgement and accountability are more important.
