Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our team in Adelaide, South Australia. As a key member of our Building Fire Protection Services Team, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering works that minimize carbon footprint and promote sustainability across various projects.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and relevant Local Authorities
* Working closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to incorporate fire services solutions seamlessly into building designs
* Designing fire hydrant and fire hose reel systems, sprinkler systems, fire detection and alarm systems, and other special suppression systems, ensuring they meet Australian fire codes, standards, and local authority requirements for safety and legal compliance
* Report writing and creation of project specifications
* Mentoring peers
Key Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience designing and implementing wet and dry fire protection systems, including sprinklers, alarms, smoke control, and passive fire safety solutions
* Strong knowledge of NCC, Local Authority, and Australian Standard requirements for fire protection services
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, liaising with architects, engineers, and clients to integrate services solutions seamlessly
* Mid to senior level of experience
* Proficiency with the latest digital industry software (Revit, BIM, Revizto, PDF)
* RPEV and/or RPEQ accreditation
