About the Role
We are seeking a suitably qualified individual to join our Wagga Wagga Engineering Department as a Structural/Sheet Metal Engineer in a full-time capacity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out aircraft sheet metal repairs in accordance with SAAB repair statements and SRM.
2. Perform composite repairs in accordance with SAAB SRM and repair statements.
3. Assist in corrosion/damage removal and assessment.
4. Collaborate in the development of improved structural repair processes and ICAs.
5. Maintain company sheet metal tooling associated with the sheet metal workshop.
6. Support the training of structural repair work and sheet metal practices.
7. Adhere to Regional Express safety regulations.
8. Provide sheet metal support at other bases and during AOG events.
9. Possess a MEA41322 or MEA41318 Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Structures.
10. Hold a minimum of 5 years experience in aircraft structural repairs.
11. Demonstrate well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
12. Exhibit a highly motivated and enthusiastic attitude.
13. Demonstrate sound work ethics.
14. Meet requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card.
Preferred Selection Criteria
1. Experience in heavy maintenance.
2. NDI experience or approvals.
3. CASA B1 & A1 license.
