The Opportunity
We are currently seeking skilled and safety-conscious Field Service Technicians to join our hardworking and dedicated team, working on a 7-on / 7-off roster servicing mine sites across the Australian East Coast. This role is offered on a FIFO or DIDO basis, with full accommodation and travel provided.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Perform onsite hydraulic hose removal, fabrication and installation
* Respond to breakdowns and provide preventative maintenance on mining equipment
* Diagnose and repair hydraulic hose and fluid transfer systems
* Maintain, stock and operate a fully equipped mobile workshop (including hose crimpers and consumables)
* Ensure accurate record keeping, stock management and changeover documentation
* Deliver excellent customer service and technical support in the field
* Promote and uphold Hoses24’s safety and environmental procedures on all job
What You’ll Bring
* Mechanical aptitude and experience in hydraulic hose and fittings (essential)
* Certificate III in Engineering – Diesel Fitter/Mechanic/Hydraulics (preferred but not essential)
* AURTTA012 – Fabricate and Install Fluid Power Hose Assemblies (preferred but not essential)
* Previous experience in mining, heavy industry, or field-based work (highly regarded)
* Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills in high pressure environments
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Strong safety focus and ability to follow procedures
* A positive, self-motivated attitude with a commitment to safety and teamwork
* Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 (highly regarded)
* Current manual Driver’s Licence (MR/HR essential)
* Successful completion of inductions, site specific medicals and drug and alcohol testing are a requirement of this role
