 
        
        Kongsberg Defence Australia (KDAu) is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Officer to join our dynamic team in Adelaide. Based at our brand-new facility in Mawson Lakes, this role will support key defence programs by overseeing the efficient movement of materials, components, and finished goods through the Mawson Lakes Facility warehouse.

About the Role 
As the Logistics Officer, you will: 
- Oversee and manage day to day international and domestic logistics, ensuring the timely and accurate movement of goods in and out of the warehouse.
- Liaise with internal departments, suppliers and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery and receipt of materials.
- Select appropriate carriers based on cost, delivery timelines and specific requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of goods movements, including shipping documentation, inventory updates, and reporting on logistics performance.
- Coordinate export and import documentation, including preparing and verifying bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and custom declarations.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, tariffs, and customs procedures for both imports and exports.
- Collaborates with custom brokers, freight forwarders, and other external parties to ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments.
- Tracks and resolve any issues related to customs clearance or documentation discrepancies, ensuring timely release of goods.
- Assess and recommend appropriate shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs, ensuring all correct documentation is in place and is compliant with associated laws and regulations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed and enhancing logistics processes, reducing costs, and improving service levels.
What You’ll Bring 
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a logistics, warehouse, or supply chain role.
- Experience handling export and import documentation in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (desirable) 
- Certificate in Warehousing, Transport and/or Logistics or similar (desirable).
