Why this role?
We’re excited to offer a rare leadership opportunity to open and lead our brand new Epping Grand Care Community—a 132-bed home across four stories, forming part of a landmark development in the heart of Epping, NSW. With practical completion expected in August and residents arriving from November 2025, this is your chance to shape a care community from the ground up and establish a thriving, person-centred culture from day one.
As General Manager, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver 24/7 nursing care, including long-term, dementia, palliative and respite services. Like all Opal Care Communities, Epping will be built around connection and purpose—with initiatives like intergenerational programs, live-in pets, community events, book clubs, and more helping to create a vibrant sense of belonging.
What you’ll do:
* Lead the day-to-day operations of a purpose-driven aged care home
* Inspire, support, and grow a diverse team of clinical and non-clinical professionals
* Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff and the local community
* Drive performance across care quality, financial results, property, and compliance

What you’ll bring:
* Experience as a General Manager or senior leader in aged care, health, hospitality, or community sectors
* A natural ability to influence culture, engage teams, and lead with heart
* A strong commercial mindset, paired with a passion for delivering quality care
* Exceptional communication skills and a hands-on leadership style
* A deep understanding of quality frameworks and regulatory standards
