Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies.
Our centre delivers high-quality early learning programs that support children's development, and we are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for all children in our care.
In this role, you will work closely with our Centre Director to plan and prepare menus, order food supplies, and maintain high standards of food safety. You will also ensure the safety of children by preparing meals that account for special dietary requirements and allergies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare healthy meals that meet the nutritional needs of children
- Plan and prepare menus in consultation with the Centre Director
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals that account for special dietary requirements and allergies
- Work collaboratively with the Centre Director to achieve business objectives
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience cooking within a childcare setting
- Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
