What is the role
Mon‐Fri, 38 hours a week, reporting to our Erina office.
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support and maintain client IT environments.
This role is responsible for troubleshooting infrastructure and LAN/WAN network issues, performing remedial maintenance, and assisting with the rollout of new technologies. You will collaborate closely with the Service Delivery team to ensure system reliability and consistent delivery against agreed SLAs.
Key responsibilities
* Provide remote and onsite IT support to clients
* Troubleshoot and fix hardware, network, and system issues
* Maintain, configure, upgrade, and repair IT equipment
* Ensure systems are secure, stable, and performing well
* Respond to incidents and resolve issues within SLA targets
* Act as an escalation point and assist junior team members
* Work with clients and vendors to resolve technical issuesRecommend suitable technologies and IT solutions
* Create and update technical designs and documentation
* Monitor system logs and manage incidents
* Improve and automate technical processes where possible
* Keep technical skills up to date through training
* Participate in on‐call support and complete required documentation
Who are we looking for
This is a customer‐facing, hands‐on technical role requiring strong communication and presentation skills. The successful candidate will be highly technical, able to work autonomously, and possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
In addition to a confident and professional manner, the role requires solid technical expertise including:
* A results‐driven Systems Engineer who consistently meets SLAs and performance targets
* Tertiary qualified with relevant industry certifications (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, VMware, Sophos)
* Strong hands‐on experience with infrastructure, networks, security, and cloud technologies
* Proven ability to deliver small‐to‐medium projects such as migrations and upgrades
* Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, virtualization, TCP/IP, and IT security
* Confident managing networks, security appliances, VPNs, routing and switching
* Clear communicator with strong documentation skills
* Client‐focused team player who can problem‐solve and work under pressure
* Proactive learner with a willingness to share knowledge and grow professionally
