Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Clinical Midwifery Educator to join our growing team on a part time (0.4EFT) fixed term basis until May 2027.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Midwifery Educator to support clinical excellence and drive education initiatives within the Maternity Unit. The Educator will motivate and develop the midwifery workforce by delivering high-quality clinical education, supporting staff across the Maternity Unit and Birth Suite, and fostering collaborative relationships with key areas including the Special Care Nursery (SCN) and Antenatal Clinic. This role plays a pivotal part in building capability, improving patient outcomes and supporting LRH’s strategic and clinical objectives.

The role of the Clinical Midwifery Educator is to:
* Provide clinical support and guidance to new and existing staff including graduates, student midwives/nurses and post graduate students.
* Coordinate, deliver and contribute to unit-based and hospital-wide education aligned with mandatory training and workforce needs.
* Facilitate high-quality teaching and training based on learner-centred principles and evidence-informed practice.
* Monitor, review and evaluate education programs to ensure alignment with departmental needs, resource capacity and best practice standards.
* Incorporate relevant research into reflective teaching practices to support improved clinical outcomes.
* Motivate and support staff in completing all legislated and mandatory training requirements.
About you Ideal candidates for this role will have:
* Registered Nurse/Midwife with AHPRA Registration.
* Relevant postgraduate qualification.
* Minimum 5 years’ recent clinical experience in a high-acuity environment.
* Experience in delivering training, mentoring and supporting others in the clinical environment.
* Strong collaboration skills with the ability to foster effective multidisciplinary relationships.
* Demonstrates integrity, strong communication, teamwork, adaptability, compassion, empathy and respect.
