About the role The Project Manager will be responsible for turnkey fibre project management including all construction and deployment activities whilst delivering key business outcomes and KPIs.
This person will be managing multiple projects across Australia at any one time to support strategic business initiatives of Vocus.
What you'll be doing day-to-day The Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units.
Manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to ITIL or PMP control guidelines throughout the full project deployment life cycle.
This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.
The items listed below form the core of the role: Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one or multiple projects simultaneously Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues Adhere to the strict Security requirements specified for Government customers and the VAS network Manage and build rapport with Internal and External Stakeholders Create and maintain a high standard of professional project documentation Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership Provide a single point of contact for Project enquiries, issues and escalations.
What you'll bring to this role Technical skills: Experience in Fibre Optic Construction techniques in external and internal applications is highly desired A thorough understanding of the Telstra DCAF and Duct Access process Understanding of the Land Access and Activity Notice process Ability to interpret relevant legislation, LGA and major other utilities regulations Non-Technical skills: Strong problem analysis and resolution skills Strong customer service focus Experience in performing a customer support role Excellent communication, interpersonal and documentation skills Excellent time management and ability to capture, prioritize and solve project problems in organized manner.
