Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll report on set targets, recruit warehouse team members, and train and motivate them to work together to maintain high standards. Every employee impacts the standards we set.
**About You**
- CHILL _is looking for a confident, **hands-on leader that's not afraid to get their boots dirty on the warehouse floor**:
- this isn't a desk job, and if you're not prepared to lead and problem-solve from the front, you're probably not the best fit for this role.
A background in temperature-controlled, cold storage is advantageous for understanding the particular gear, clothing and logistics required for this environment. Management experience would be a bonus. However, _CHILL_ is keen to hear from someone looking for the next step from a supervisor or similar role.
You'll need a solid level of computer literacy, able to use and learn a range of software, with skills in excel and any cloud-based warehouse management systems advantage and impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
Not content to stick to established processes or the "way it's always been done", your ability to identify areas for improvement and genuine passion for innovation will help you to drive real change and support even greater outcomes for _CHILL's_ clients towards our purpose of _Doing Cool Things Better_.
**Requirements**:
Day-to-day accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring quality, delivery and budget objectives are met;
- Leading, training and recruiting staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to _Get Things Done;_
- Taking ownership of the day-to-day warehouse operations, managing productivity and organising inbound/outbound freight whilst accounting for temperature and food safety requirements;
- Monitoring key performance indicators, addressing any problems or delays and ensuring customers are kept informed with effective, timely and friendly customer service;
- Identifying any safety risks, issues or areas of improvement, working with your team to develop innovative solutions and more efficient processes;
- Communicate with drivers, departments, staff groups and customers
- Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and the inventory in your care
- Oversee maintenance of forklifts and warehouse equipment is running optimally

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Minimum 5-7 years + warehousing experience
- A current forklift ticket
- A high degree of reliability
- Be a team player with a positive can-do attitude.
- Be results-driven and be able to demonstrate strong communication and administration skills
- Possess a high degree of attention to detail and a professional work ethic
