Support young people to achieve their goals in a safe environment. This role involves providing day-to-day care, guidance and support to adolescents aged 12 to 17 in our residential care units.
As a residential care youth worker, you will be part of a dedicated team working with young people who have experienced trauma. Your role will involve helping young people build life skills, develop routines and achieve their goals in a stable environment.
Shifts Available:
* Day Shift – 7am or 9am starts, finish by 3:30pm or 5pm
* Afternoon Shift – 3pm to 11:30pm
* Sleepover Shift – Work 5pm to 11pm, sleep onsite 11pm to 7am, finish at 9am
* Active Night Shift – 11pm to 7:30am
What You’ll Need:
* Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or equivalent)
* Experience working with young people or strong motivation to learn
* Residential Out-of-Home Care Youth Work experience is highly desirable
* Current Australian Driver's Licence, Victorian Employee Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificate
* Willingness to undergo a National Police Check (we'll arrange this for you)
* Commitment to ongoing training and trauma-informed practice
* If you have lived outside of Australia for 12 months or more in the last 10 years, you will need to provide an International Police Check that has been processed in the last 3 months from any of the countries you have lived in.
