Japanese speaking general affairs coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented General Affairs Coordinator with fluency in Japanese to become a key part of our dynamic team. This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring smooth operational support, managing administrative tasks, and assisting with basic accounting duties. Key Responsibilities :

* Manage daily office operations and ensure that the office environment runs smoothly.
* Provide admin support between Japanese and English, both written and verbal, for internal communications and documentation.
* Assist with preparing reports, handling correspondence, and organizing meetings and events.
* Oversee office supplies, services, and maintenance contractors, ensuring effective and efficient operations.
* Assist in organizing employee events, handle employee inquiries, and support basic HR-related tasks such as onboarding new hires.
* Follow compliance with local regulations and company policies. Maintain organized records, documents, and filing systems.
* Assist with handling petty cash, expenses etc.
* Collaborate with various departments to facilitate smooth workflow and support business needs.


Required Skills & Qualifications :

* Fluency in Japanese (both written and spoken) is a must.
* Proven experience in a general affairs, administrative, or accounting-related role.
* Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
* Knowledge of office software (Microsoft Office etc.).
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Basic accounting knowledge is a bonus.
* Previous experience in a multinational or culturally diverse environment is a plus.
* Applicants must be permanent residents, Australian citizens, or on a partner visa.


Preferred Qualifications :

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
* Previous experience working in Japan or with Japanese-speaking teams is highly desirable.
* Experience in managing office or administrative functions in a corporate environment.
* Good Excel skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
