Its 8:30 AM in Westbury, Tasmania, and you're stepping into a day where every decision you make has a direct impact on quality, safety, and compliance. As the QA Specialist, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the robust Quality Management System at Extractas Bioscience, driving innovation and excellence.
In your first few weeks, you'll collaborate with the QA Lead and cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance processes are implemented seamlessly and sustainably. Youll not only oversee critical quality operations but also act as a mentor, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high standards.
But this isn't just about compliance.
You'll be the expert in leading audits, managing quality events, and driving proactive solutions. Your role will extend beyond operational responsibilities, enabling Extractas Bioscience to maintain its global reputation for excellence and innovation.
What You'll Do:
* Champion cGMP, ISO22000, and HACCP compliance across the organisation.
* Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System, managing change control, quality events, and supplier qualifications.
* Conduct internal and external audits, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
* Review manufacturing records and make critical disposition decisions for materials produced.
* Provide compliance support and consultation across departments to drive operational excellence.
What You Bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Science or Engineering (essential).
* Proven experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in pharmaceutical or healthcare settings.
* Strong knowledge of cGMP principles, regulatory standards, and auditing practices.
* Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
* A passion for innovation, compliance, and making a meaningful impact.
