As a collaborative effort between Australia and CSIRO, this role will contribute to building a strong safety culture at the low frequency telescope (SKA-Low) in remote Western Australia.
This position involves:
* Establishing a robust health, safety, and environment management system to foster a reliable safety culture.
* Providing clear leadership to the HSE team, promoting professional development and a shared sense of purpose.
* Supporting the broader team in understanding the rationale behind safety requirements and their contribution to overall success.
* Preparing comprehensive HSE reports to inform decision-making with key metrics, risks, and outcomes.
* Conducting incident investigations using structured methodologies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
