We are currently seeking 2 seasonal packhouse managers responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of sorting, grading, and packing fruit in preparation for transport for the upcoming harvest season at our Katherine NT farms.
Expect to work 5-6 days a week, subject to harvest schedule and weather, so once you're into it, there'll be plenty to keep you occupied.
Ideally you'll have packhouse experience but if you've had experience and enjoy managing diverse busy teams, this could be a great fit for you. Technical training and support around process and quality is available, so if mangos are a little outside of your experiences, don't worry.
Reporting to the National Packhouse Operations Manager, the role involves:

* Overseeing quality and productivity
* Ensuring team members have the knowledge and confidence to perform their tasks
* Oversight of work and admin
* Reacting to

The Seasons
The roles start with the start of harvest, and finish when it is over. The local NT harvest seasons are typically early September through to December, quickly ramping up so that by October it's flat out - you won't get bored
If you are interested in other locations afterwards, please let us know. If you find that you like it and want to return for a few seasons in one or more locations, that's great too
You
To succeed you will need
* Staff supervision experience and interpersonal skills
* To love working in a busy environment with lots to think about and do.
* To work comfortably and harmoniously within a multicultural team.
* A proactive approach to learning, supporting and guiding the people around you
