The successful candidate will be able to support the development of iron ore, green iron and other mineral processes (i.e.
copper, lithium) focusing on renewable energy driven process designs to improve industrial processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and configure renewable energy driven industrial process plant concepts.Develop process simulations and test optimisation concepts for process plants in HSC or LIMN Flowsheet software.Generate heat and mass balances for process plants.Provide support for technology assessments.Support the projects team in scope development and delivery.Provide process documentation.Communication of technical concepts and value proposition to a variety of stakeholders.Support project teams with process engineering tasks as required.Report progress on the program – action tracker, timing, deliverables, milestones and budget.Qualifications and ExperienceExtensive experience in a similar role.Must be professional and work in a confidential manner.Must have the ability to work autonomously, use initiative, be proactive and be able to prioritise conflicting workloads.Must have intermediate to advanced software skills in Microsoft Office suite.Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.Industry experience will be highly regarded.Our CommitmentFortescue celebrates individual strengths and team members are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
