Your new role:
As an Enrolled Nurse (Mental Health), you will practice under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Midwife, consolidating your knowledge and skills to deliver safe, person-centred care. You will contribute to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of care, supporting patients with complex mental health needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing evidence-based nursing care under RN supervision
- Delivering compassionate, person-centred support across mental health services
- Assisting with admission, treatment, and discharge processes
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in electronic medical record systems
- Supporting patients, families, and carers with education and advocacy
- Contributing to quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Upholding Metro South Health's values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Engagement, and Excellence
About you:
We are seeking committed and adaptable Enrolled Nurses who are passionate about mental health nursing and recovery-focused care.
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse (mandatory)
- Medication endorsement (required for this role)
- Ability to deliver safe, evidence-based care in collaboration with RNs
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work across shifts and adapt to unit needs
- Commitment to professional development and reflective practice
- A current C Class driver's licence and ability to travel as required
