About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Road Worker Grade 4 to join a dedicated maintenance team based at the Albion Park Depot. This role is pivotal in executing earthworks and operating heavy machinery, particularly rollers, to support road construction and maintenance projects. The position offers a dynamic work environment with the opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure developments. The initial engagement is for four weeks, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.
- $43.52/hour + super
- 19 day month with 1 RDO a month
- Working 5:30AM-6:30PM which includes travel time to and from project site
- Some night shift may be required
Key Responsibilities
- Operate rollers and other heavy machinery for road construction and maintenance tasks.
- Perform earthworks, including excavation, grading, and compaction activities.
- Assist in setting up and dismantling traffic control measures to ensure site safety.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues to supervisors.
- Participate in night shifts as required, following appropriate safety guidelines.
About You
- Construction White Card – essential
- Current C Licence
- Plant Operator Tickets, Workers On Foot,Tradesperson certificate, TC tickets – highly desirable
- Proven experience in earthworks and operating rollers in a construction or maintenance setting is a must.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Ability to work extended hours, including early mornings and occasional night shifts.
- Physically fit to perform manual labour tasks in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must have full Australian working rights – Citizen, PR, or valid long-term visa holders only
- A satisfactory police check is required (can commence before clearance, subject to termination if adverse findings arise)
