Cert 3 experienced Aged Care Support Workers to join our team in Hervey Bay, Queensland. This is a contract role, providing essential support and care to our elderly clients in the local community. As an Aged Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of our clients and helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
* Providing companionship, social engagement, and emotional support to clients
* Monitoring clients' health and wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns to the care team
* Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the highest standards of care
* Collaborating with the broader care team to implement care plans and achieve client-centred outcomes
What we're looking for
* Relevant experience in Cert 3 aged care or disability support, with a strong understanding of the unique needs of the elderly
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
* A compassionate, empathetic, and patient approach to care
* Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
* A current certificate in aged care or disability support
* A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
