Family Reunification Specialist
This is a challenging and rewarding role as a Family Reunification Specialist, working with parents involved in child family reunification to reduce AOD-related harm through assessments, counselling, and tailored care and recovery interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough assessments and provide expert counselling services for individuals required to undergo treatment as part of their reunification plan.
* Develop and implement tailored care and recovery interventions to address the specific needs of clients.
* Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve client outcomes.
* Provide education and support to families and caregivers on AOD-related issues.
Requirements:
* A tertiary qualification in a health or welfare related field.
* A Certificate IV in AOD or completion of core competencies within 24 months of employment.
* Competence in dual diagnosis or willingness to complete within 24 months.
* Experience in assessment and counselling, preferably with AOD or dual diagnosis clients and families.
* Expertise in therapeutic approaches such as Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Coping Skills Training, Family Inclusive Practice, self-help groups, and Community Reinforcement Approaches.
