The Strategic Asset Management Team within the Asset Management Strategy, Infrastructure Services Division (ISD) is seeking a Principal Facilities Services Officer to provide leadership and strategic advice on infrastructure, planning, and asset management issues.
This role involves leading teams, developing innovative solutions, and contributing to the implementation of policies and programs that align with the Department's strategic direction.
Responsibilities
Supporting the Manager, Strategic Asset Management to manage, coordinate and implement challenging and time constrained deliverables to achieve the Department's asset management objectives.
Developing strategic advice on complex issues for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Mentoring and supporting other members of the Strategic Asset Management Team to develop and grow to their full potential.
Participating in a culture of continuous improvement by positively contributing and embracing new ideas and ways of working.
Managing and supporting asset management programs such as Asset Lifecycle Condition Assessments (ALCAs) and renewal.
Actively contributing towards improvements in process, analytics and reporting.
Engaging regularly with regions and schools to improve capability in undertaking asset management planning.
Contributing to positive team culture and emphasising learning and development.
Qualifications
Asset Management Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of contemporary asset management policies, frameworks, strategies, plans and systems.
Planning and Reporting: Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and report on capital renewal and maintenance programs.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to evaluate programs, analyse data, and develop evidence-based strategies across the Asset Lifecycle.
Communication and Negotiation: Strong skills in consultation, negotiation, and preparing high-level reports and correspondence.
Leadership: Experience in leading teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
