Our team is comprised of specialist fire protection professionals, contractors, plumbers, sprinkler fitters and electricians who not only install, but also maintain and provide ongoing support for your fire protection system.

About the Role

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Accounts Officerto manage financial transactions, records, and reporting for Total Fire Solutions. This role will provide critical support to our finance team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across accounts receivable, payroll, accounts payable and general ledger functions.

Key Responsibilities

* Accurately record and post accounts receivable transactions, including processing credit notes and refunds
* Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts, sending reminders and performing collection calls to ensure timely payments
* Maintain customer accounts and reconcile accounts receivable ledgers with bank accounts
* Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and customer related financial enquiries
* Assist in the completion of payroll tasks accurately and on time, and become a payroll backup
* Provide support for accounts payable transactions
* Support month end and year end reporting processes
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial queries efficiently

Experience and Qualifications

* Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or related discipline (or equivalent experience) desirable but not required.
* Previous experience in accounts or finance roles, ideally in small to medium enterprises.
* Experience with payroll processing and accounting systems (e.g. Xero, HR3, Employment Hero, etc).
* Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
