As our Financial Controller you will oversee the provision of accounting for the entire business Group preparing statutory and consolidated management reporting. The role will also be responsible for detailed commentary on business performance whilst providing a mentoring and leadership role across the accounting team.
Preparation of cash flow forecasts and other key high level financial information to assist senior management in making decisions.
Prepare monthly consolidated financial reports and forecasts to the board and providing analysis on corporate cost expenditure, cost impacts and performance KPI's.
Developing Financial strategy, including risk minimisation plans, cost reductions and opportunity forecasting.
Oversee preparation of monthly/quarterly tax returns (BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, CILSL), monthly and annual financial statements and prepare data for annual insurance placement.
Troubleshoot systems and train/mentor team members to optimise performance.
Maintain and improve efficiencies – Cin7core, Simpro and Xero accounting systems relating to your area of responsibility.
Oversee and lead the accounts payable receivable team and payroll team.
Assist operations in job reporting and communicating job performance on a weekly basis.
Process/oversee payroll.
Liaise with external accountants.
Monitor project costing.
Prepare and submit superannuation lodgements quarterly.
Contribute and be a member of the Leadership team.
Ad hoc financial duties as requested by the Managing Director.
Oversee daily cash allocation, balancing and coordinating across 3 entities within Australia.
Qualifications:
CPA or equivalent.
Experience:
Min 5 years in a similar role.
Solid understanding of the Australian Tax system and compliance.
