Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Fleet Mechanic to join our Mobile Fleet team. This position is residential in Mount Isa and requires working a 7 on / 7 off, day and night shift roster. The role involves performing heavy fleet maintenance work, undertaking planned maintenance tasks, and participating in continuous improvement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Performing heavy fleet maintenance work and breakdown repairs
* Undertaking planned maintenance tasks as instructed
* Project work as required
* Mentoring apprentices
* Contributing to continuous improvement opportunities
Requirements:
* Trade qualified Heavy Fleet Mechanic
* High risk work licence, Working at Heights and Confined Space, forklift licence, overhead gantry crane
* Mining experience preferred but not essential
* Excellent trouble-shouting & problem-solving skills
* Flexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detail
* Good time management skills and able to work well under pressure
