As Project Officer you will provide a high standard of project support services to the Office of the Inspector-General of Emergency Management and our project partners. You will be instrumental to the effective delivery of the Queensland Disaster Management Lesson Management Project, using your experience and skills in research, stakeholder engagement, communications, proposal development, facilitation and administrative functions.
Your key accountabilities include:
- Contribute to the development and implement enhancements to the Queensland Disaster Management Lessons Management Project including determining how lessons are identified, recorded, shared and implemented within Queensland's disaster management system.
- Contribute to the development, consultation and delivery of pre-identified project proposals that deliver against the program priorities.
- Facilitate engagement activities, including community of practice events, digital engagement, workshops and consultations, to achieve buy-in, gather insights and feedback, and coordinate and enable the analysis of program outcomes.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders, organisations and project partners to design and test a lessons management mechanism that is user-friendly, security and cost neutral.
- Facilitate the engagement and coordination of the Project's governance groups that provide oversight and expertise.
- Create high quality web, online, and social media content and deliver other communications functions for the Project.
- Manage record keeping and prepare and review project documents, briefing notes, reports and correspondence.
- Contribute to the evaluation process, including the development of evaluation metrics and the use of assessment tools such as surveys, to evaluate project deliverables and help establish recommendations for future projects.
