1st Class CNC Machinist
BAE Systems Australia invites applications for the 1st Class CNC Machinist role in our Battlespace Integrated Solutions Business Unit located at Edinburgh Parks, South Australia.
About the Opportunity
Advanced Manufacturing has won multiple large long-term contracts. This position offers four weeks' annual leave, overtime, RDOs, uniform, on-site canteen access, a temperature-controlled environment, and shares after one year of service.
Key Responsibilities
Be responsible for CNC machining tasks associated with defence requirements.
Undertake CNC component machining on a range of machines for various defence projects to meet scheduled requirements.
Ensure correct documentation for engineering systems and defect reporting for traceability.
Liaise with BAE Systems' quality staff to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
Comply with BAE Systems Safety, Health and Environment procedures, and quality systems.
Alert the organization to potential or known problems that affect the quality of BAE Systems' products and services.
Provide input and recommendations for improving company processes and procedures.
Validate parts as they are manufactured.
About You
A Mechanical trade certificate.
CNC machining experience.
Manual machining and fitting experience (preferred).
Ability to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance of "Baseline" and be cleared for ITAR.
A strong team focus and a can-do attitude.
Effective communication with all stakeholders.
Availability to work day shift 7:00 am–3:30 pm Monday–Friday.
Availability to work afternoon shift 3:00 pm–12:00 am Monday–Thursday.
Availability to work night shift 12:00 pm–8:00 am Sunday–Thursday.
