Join to lead the Duck River Flood Risk Management Study and Plan and oversee stormwater, floodplain, and integrated water cycle management projects. You’ll coordinate floodplain risk studies, develop strategic water management programs, and guide planning controls related to flood and water quality issues. Key Responsibilities: Deliver actions from the Catchment and Waterways Strategic Plan Manage floodplain risk management studies and stormwater programs Provide expert advice on floodplain planning, water sensitive urban design, and integrated water cycle management Collaborate with government agencies, catchment groups, and consultants Manage project budgets, tenders, and external contracts Essential Qualifications & Experience: Tertiary degree in civil/environmental engineering, natural resource management, or related field 5 years’ experience in floodplain management, planning, or environmental engineering Strong project management skills for complex strategic projects Knowledge of NSW Flood Risk Management Process and Water Sensitive Urban Design Experience in budgeting, tender preparation, procurement, and contract management Desirable: Local government experience Understanding of coastal management If you have a passion for sustainable water management and flood risk reduction, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
