Job Title: Health and Safety Manager
At our company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead our safety function. The successful candidate will be responsible for championing our zero-harm approach and leading visible safety leadership initiatives.
About the Role:
* Manage, maintain, and improve our integrated HSE management systems and documentation.
* Oversee OHS audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
* Lead the development and delivery of training and mentoring programs to lift safety capability.
* Partner with teams across pre-contracts, operations, and delivery to embed safety early.
* Maintain company-wide safety reporting systems, legal, and risk registers.
* Drive improvements to performance metrics, lead indicators, and safety outcomes.
* Support accreditation and compliance efforts ensuring all legislative requirements are met.
* Represent the organization externally on OHS matters - with clients, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
Key Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS (or equivalent recognized qualification).
* Minimum 5 years in a senior HSE role within civil construction or infrastructure projects.
* Expert-level knowledge of WHS Act 2011, relevant codes of practice, and standards.
* Proven ability to lead HSE systems, investigations, audits, and risk assessments.
* Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Experience working with major infrastructure contractors, government clients, and subcontractors.
* Confidence to represent the organization in audits, forums, and industry discussions.
