Role Purpose:
Our Cairns Office is seeking an experienced Family Law Legal Practitioner with a strong interest in social justice. As one of Queensland's largest legal practices, we offer a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
About You:
* You must be admitted as a Legal Practitioner in Queensland or hold (or be eligible for immediate acquisition of) a current Practising Certificate and be admitted as a Legal Practitioner or Barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the Australian High Court.
* You should demonstrate a high level of professional service and capacity across a wide range of Family Law, Domestic Violence, and (after training) Child Protection advocacy.
* Ideally, you will have a minimum of three years of full-time experience, resilience in handling complex cases, including Domestic Violence and Child Protection work, and the ability to develop culturally competent service skills.

In this role, you will engage directly with clients daily, honing your advocacy skills within a busy team. You will have the autonomy to manage your own workflows without the pressure of billable hours, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
