The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Financial Accountant for a 9-month contract with a well-known and respected organisation. This role offers an immediate start and the opportunity to be hands-on with a major system implementation while working alongside a collaborative and high-performing finance team.
The Role
This is a hands-on role that will see you involved in a variety of core accounting and reporting responsibilities.
- Manage general ledger activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and month-end close
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigating variances as required
- Support statutory accounts preparation and assist with year-end audit requirements
- Maintain the fixed asset register and support tax-related reporting
- Oversee billing, direct debit, and credit card processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Review supplier payment runs, ensuring correct approvals and timely processing
- Actively participate in ERP migration, including UAT testing, data integrity checks, and process mapping
- Collaborate with the Financial Controller and wider team on reconciliations, process improvements, and ad-hoc projects
About You
- Preferably be CA/CPA qualified
- Relevant experience within a commercial finance role
- Exposure to ERP implementation or upgrades is desirable
