About The Service
Centrecare and Wungening have established a partnership to deliver Youth Justice Services aimed at achieving positive outcomes for at-risk youth and the community. Benefits include:

About The Role
This is a maximum term, full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week over 5 days, with rotating schedules (Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday). Hours are typically 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm, with Saturday hours from 9am-5pm when rostered.
Role
As a Youth Worker in this integrated team, you will provide intake, assessment, and support services for young people and their families involved in the BeyondYJS Service. This includes outreach in the community or custody, aiming to:
* Divert young people from the criminal justice system;
* Support young people on community orders;
* Assist young people in custody;
* Enhance public safety.
This role offers variety and the chance to contribute to a meaningful program, supporting youth to lead law-abiding lives and engaging with the wider community, including liaising with the Department of Justice and other service providers.
Selection Criteria
* Recognised tertiary qualification in Aboriginal Service Delivery, Community Development, Social Work, Social Sciences, Youth Work, or related fields, or substantial relevant experience.
* 1-2 years' experience in social services (Level 4 role); 3-5 years' (Level 5 role).
* Ability to work culturally securely with Aboriginal and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds.
* Experience in youth rehabilitation, diversion, counselling, family support, or youth counselling.
* Understanding of youth offending criminogenic factors.
* Experience with Youth and Adult Justice settings.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* National Police Certificate and Working with Children Check or ability to obtain.
