Our client is seeking a dependable and safety-driven Truck Driver with a current HC Licence to join their Freight & Logistics operation based in Taren Point. This is a dual Driver/Store-person role, suiting someone who is comfortable working across both road transport and warehouse functions.
The primary duty is operating heavy combination vehicles for local Sydney metro freight movements. However, the successful candidate will be required to operate rigid trucks and C Class Utes, and assist within the warehouse.
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm (Flexibility required for early/late starts)
Workdays: Monday to Friday (Occasional weekend work possible)
Location: Taren Point and Prestons
REQUIREMENTS :
* Previous experience in the Freight & Logistics industry
* Confident with both semi-trailers and rigid trucks
* Understanding of safe freight handling, load restraint, and chain of responsibility (CoR).
* Clear Criminal History
THE ROLE:
Transport - PRIMARY
* Operate HC vehicles for freight pick-up and delivery within NSW.
* Operate rigid trucks when required to support workflow demands.
* Safely load, secure, and unload general freight.
* Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
* Adhere to all NSW road transport regulations and fatigue management requirements.
* Maintain accurate delivery records, paperwork, and manifests.
* Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and delivery sites.
Store-person Duties - SECONDARY
* Assist with day-to-day warehouse operations.
* Receive, check, and process incoming freight.
* Prepare outgoing orders, including labelling and staging freight for dispatch.
* Operate forklifts and manual handling equipment safely.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment in line with WHS standards.
