As a Farm Insurance Specialist, you will meet with clients on their farms, perform risk assessments, and offer insurance solutions tailored to their needs. You will be responsible for identifying new client prospects, building and servicing a profitable portfolio of clients, converting prospects into satisfied clients, offering risk and general insurance solutions, performing risk analysis, assessing underwriting risks, preparing policy quotes, and organizing local events and marketing activities within the community.
To succeed in this role, you should have a passion for meeting farmers and a strong desire to learn about the agricultural insurance industry. You should also possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, be able to build strong relationships within the community, and have a valid driver's license. No prior experience in insurance is necessary, as we provide comprehensive training to help you succeed in the role.
