About the Role
As a Lifestyle Mentor, you’ll be helping participants build their independence and lead fulfilling lives. Your days will be guided by a commitment to Purpose, Opportunity, and Passion. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, and domestic activities.
- Encouraging skills development such as job readiness, cooking, financial literacy, or navigating public transport.
- Promoting social and community inclusion by helping participants connect, forge friendships, and pursue their interests.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking compassionate, adaptable, and purpose-driven individuals who believe in empowering others. To succeed, you’ll need to:
- Approach your role with empathy and a person-centred mindset.
- Be a reliable team player who thrives in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
- Be flexible, with the ability to work across day, night, and sleepover shifts as required.
- Experience with High Level Supports (e.g. Personal Care & Complex Behaviours)
- Digital Literacy competent
Beneficial but Not Essential Qualifications
Bring your passion to IDSS, and we’ll help you create lasting opportunities! While prior experience is valued, growth is accessible to all. Beneficial qualifications include:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent (beneficial, but not essential)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
- A current Australian driver’s licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
- Completion of NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission eLearning Certificates.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and use various apps and systems.
