About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Civil Engineering Team Lead to join our team in the region, based in Albury, NSW. This is a rare opportunity to lead a civil engineering team in a regional lifestyle location, with a generous salary package, a company vehicle, and a sign-on bonus (return of service applies). A relocation package is available for the right candidate.
As the Civil Engineering Team Lead, you will:
- Lead and mentor a team of civil engineers in design and works.
- Manage the delivery of civil design projects including large staged residential subdivisions, smaller residential developments, and rural lot subdivisions.
- Oversee project management, inspections, and certification of engineering designs.
- Drive business development and client engagement.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

About You:
- CPEng accreditation (or close to obtaining).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 7+ years’ experience in civil engineering and project management.
- Proven leadership in managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and oversight across civil engineering projects.
- Supervise and mentor engineering staff, ensuring high-quality deliverables and professional development.
- Manage project resources, budgets, and schedules to meet client expectations.
- Review and certify engineering designs and documentation.
- Prepare fee proposals and contribute to winning new work.
- Maintain strong client relationships and actively seek current business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies.
- Promote Premise’s civil engineering capabilities within the industry.
Required Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of civil design standards, codes, and legislation.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Commercial acumen and experience in fee proposals and budget management.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
- Proficiency in project scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
