About the Role
The role of Early Childhood Educator is responsible for managing the daily operations of our early childhood room, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and developing and implementing high-quality educational programs. This full-time position requires a self-motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the early childhood room, including staff supervision, child management, and program development.
* Develop and implement high-quality educational programs that meet the needs of children aged 0-5 years.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of children through effective risk management and emergency procedures.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement policies and procedures.
* Provide guidance and support to staff members to enhance their professional development and practice.
Requirements
* ACECQA approved early childhood diploma qualification or equivalent.
* A working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and ability to develop and implement high-quality educational programs.
* A working knowledge of National Quality Standards, Education and Care Regulations, and National Law.
* Experience in a similar role in an education and care setting.
* Experienced in the provision of a quality educational program for children aged 0-5 years.
* Ability to work cooperatively and flexibly within a team environment.
* Experience in guiding and leading a small team.
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
* Current approved First Aid, Emergency Asthma Management, and Anaphylaxis Management training.
* Completion of an approved child protection training unit/course - CHCPRT001 or CHCPRT025.
* Ability to take on the role of Responsible Person when required.
* Able to comply with the requirements of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013 through the provision of a Working with Children Check clearance.
