Family Support Case Worker - Full-Time

About Cullunghutti:

Cullunghutti Aboriginal Child and Family Centre prides itself on being a place of belonging for all children, their families, and the Shoalhaven community. Our Centre is dedicated to all Elders, past and present, for their valuable knowledge, wisdom, and loving care passed on to our Boori's and their families, as well as the community.

Cullunghutti is a special place for children and families to connect, grow, and learn together, reflecting and strengthening Aboriginal identity within the wider community. It brings together a range of early childhood, health, and family support services to improve education, health, wellbeing, and quality of life for Aboriginal children and families, and helps them learn and grow to become the future leaders of our community.

Cullunghutti Aboriginal Child and Family Centre was established under the Indigenous Early Childhood Development National Partnership Agreement (IECDNP), as a Closing the Gap initiative. We are a not-for-profit organisation, and self-managed by our Aboriginal community.

Position Summary:

The Family Support Case Worker provides proactive, responsive, and culturally safe case management to Aboriginal children, young people, and families requiring early intervention support whose needs fall below the threshold for statutory child protection intervention. Working in a voluntary, family-led manner, the role strengthens parenting capacity, enhances family functioning, and promotes child development and wellbeing.

Through warm handovers and effective partnership with community services, the Case Worker ensures families receive the right support at the right time.
