Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and independent Office Manager to join our busy Federal Government Department. This unique role is responsible for coordinating accommodation management, ensuring protective security, and upholding office policies and procedures.


Main Responsibilities:

* Accommodation Management: Coordinate office maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments, ensuring the space is fit for purpose and compliant with regulations.
* Operational Expertise: Provide well-informed advice to staff on matters related to property, facilities, and security frameworks.
* Stakeholder Management: Build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including service providers, contractors, and building management representatives.
* Support: Assist with work point allocations, coordinate special events, and support staff with facilities and WHS issues.


About You:

* Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of best practices in property, facility, risk, and asset management, guided by government legislation and guidelines.
* Leadership: Proven ability to take a leadership role during service disruptions or emergencies.
* Managerial Skills: Well-developed managerial and organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities, coordinate meetings, and conduct inquiries and research.
* Communication: High-level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Adaptability: The ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and handle office layout and fit out changes.
* Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze data, maintain accurate records, and provide effective responses to information requests.

Please note: You must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this position. A Negative Vetting Level 2 security clearance will be highly regarded.
