Roadmac Pty Ltd / Raubex Construction offers civil engineering infrastructure, construction implementation and management in Western Australia with our core focus on earthworks, roads, and general civils.
We are currently seeking Construction Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Construction Project Managers to join our team in Western Australia.
Construction Manager
You will be responsible for managing a project or number of smaller projects, coordinating various scopes of work as part of an exciting team of Raubex employees.
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years work experience in a range of disciplines that include:
* Construction Supervision and Management
* Roadworks
* Road pavement construction
* Bituminous materials
* Bituminous surfacing including seal, patching, slurries and asphalt.
* Remote regions project management
* Traffic management
* General all-round knowledge of plant and equipment
The candidate must have:
* Solid understanding of governmental road construction specifications and requirements.
* Self-starters, with well-developed organisational and stakeholder management skills.
* Flexibility, able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to problem solve.
Quantity Surveyor
You will be working in a central quantity surveying role in order to setup and maintain key control measures for our young business.
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science - Quantity Surveying Degree and 3 years minimum experience in operating within the roads construction industry (asphalt and seal exposure would be advantageous).
You will also demonstrate:
* Computer literacy - MS Office (Advanced level).
* Experience with Construction Computer Software (CCS) is compulsory.
* Must be able to demonstrate a decent understanding of a Construction QS, Estimating and Commercial role.
* Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
* Clean police record.
* Willing to relocate to Perth, Western Australia, permanently.
* Strong willingness to learn and adapt to a new industry environment.
Construction Project Manager
As a Construction Project Manager working for a Tier 2 Civil Engineering Head Contractor, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of day-to-day construction activities across major infrastructure projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in line with contract specifications and client expectations.
You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and internal departments (engineering, planning, HSEQ, and commercial) to drive performance and maintain control of programme delivery in a complex, fast-moving construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management:
* Lead and manage the delivery of works on sites, ensuring alignment with approved construction programmes.
* Drive daily and weekly production planning with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to meet progress targets and KPIs.
* Anticipate and resolve production risks or delays to keep works on track and avoid disruption to the critical path.
Leadership & Team Coordination:
* Manage and mentor site-based staff, fostering a performance-driven, safety-first culture.
* Coordinate plant, labour, materials, and subcontractors to maximise productivity and utilisation.
* Chair daily and weekly coordination meetings with operational teams to maintain alignment and communication.
Programme, Progress & Reporting:
* Monitor and report on production performance against project schedules, updating short-term lookaheads in coordination with the planner.
* Escalate risks and implement mitigation strategies in a timely and effective manner.
* Maintain accurate daily records, progress reports, and site documentation for internal reporting and commercial substantiation.
Quality, Safety & Environmental Management:
* Ensure all site operations are carried out in compliance with HSEQ legislation, project-specific management plans, and the head contractor's procedures.
* Promote a proactive safety culture, lead toolbox talks and pre-starts, and participate in audits and incident reviews.
* Support quality assurance activities including ITP sign-offs, inspections, and as-built records.
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar role.
Further Requirements Include
* Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
* Proven track record managing production on major infrastructure projects (e.g., highways, bridges, utilities, earthworks, drainage).
* Strong understanding of construction sequencing, temporary works, and resource coordination.
* Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and construction programmes.
* Working knowledge of planning and reporting tools (e.g., CCS Candy, MS Project, Primavera P6, Excel).
* Sound leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* White Card and relevant industry certifications (e.g., RIW, Rail Safety, Confined Space) preferred.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to work in project site locations.
