The Role
The Coordinator Open Space Planning leads a high-performing team responsible for the implementation of Council's Public Open Space Plan and Greening Whittlesea Strategy. The role oversees an evidence-based approach to policy development, feasibility initiatives, master planning and landscape improvement plans, shaping the development of the open space network, as portfolio sponsor guiding the capital works pipeline and measuring outcome against the strategic vision.
About you
You are a collaborative, accountable and motivated professional with a passion for the environment and design excellence. You hold qualifications in Landscape Architecture and bring strong experience in design, open space planning and project management. A collegiate leader, you confidently guide high-performing teams across public realm policy, planning and design through to grant applications and sponsorship of capital works delivery. With local government experience an advantage, you balance creative thinking with structured, outcome-focused delivery and work effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve meaningful results for the community.
