$50,000 annual salary for part time position
Remote Role: Work from anywhere, with some travel. Flexible part-time hours. 6 months contract.
Industry Engagement Lead will work with the CEO. This role will be responsible to deliver practical on-the-ground engagement with members, partners and stakeholders to grow participation, increase membership and revenue, and drive industry impact.
The role is responsible for developing:
Relationship Building
Driving membership growth and retention
Delivering strong sponsorship and partnership outcomes
Increasing participation in NHIA programs (training, accreditation, mentoring, events)
Strengthening NHIA's presence in key regions (including beef-focused regions)
Strengthen and elevate NHIA's national brand visibility and recognition.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)
1. Develop the Engagement Plan (value delivery + retention + new business) based on NHIA's Strategic Plan, incorporating the whole herd improvement landscape (dairy and beef).
* Create a structured cadence of member touchpoints (visits/follow-ups) and capture issues and opportunities.
* Strongly promote NHIA, its value and services.
* Update visit outcomes through practical reports and provide updates and how-to guidance on opportunities and insights.
2. Grow membership, program participation and event attendance (commercial outcomes)
* Take ownership and responsibility for the pipeline from lead to conversion for membership.
* Increase uptake of NHIA services
* Actively grow participation in (training, accreditation, mentoring) and key events and convert interest into registrations.
* Attend NHIA Programs/Events.
* Ensure the NHIA brand and culture are captured professionally.
* Manage day-to-day partner relationships and ensure benefits/visibility are delivered across events and communications.
* Oversee the pipeline and renewals of sponsorship opportunities, CEO support where required.
* Contribute to NHIA's revenue diversification initiatives through partnerships and sponsorship.
4. Lift standards through adoption support and promotion of member education
* Support promotion of NHIA professional standards via education, best-practice sharing and member communications (CEO leads standards guidance content, you drive field uptake).
5. Support NHIA's "trusted leading national voice" with intelligence, sentiment and coordinated moments. Reporting and insight.
* Brief the CEO with on-the-ground intelligence, stakeholder sentiment and member priorities to strengthen the "why NHIA" narrative and visible leadership moments.
* Support the development of clear, credible industry communications that strengthen NHIA's leadership and trust.
* Undertake a weekly check-in, monthly reporting and feedback register updated
* Provide 1-2 monthly comms, one from member outcomes, one from the industry as a whole.
* Support the CEO in implementing new income streams, this may include new grants.
