Binnies, an RSK Group company, is an engineering and environmental consultancy that helps clients across the globe efficiently and effectively collect, store, move and treat water and wastewater, plan and manage watersheds and harness the energy embedded in the treatment and movement of water. With more than a 100-year heritage and over 1400 staff, Binnies has recently expanded its business into the Australian market by opening an office in Brisbane. The business is poised to expand rapidly and is currently looking for self-driven individuals to help grow and develop the business here in Australia.
About the role
As a Civil Designer at Binnies you will play a pivotal role in the conception, design, and realisation of civil infrastructure projects. The primary responsibilities include:
1. Lead the design and drafting of civil-related infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
2. Utilise advanced software tools (Primarily Civil 3D and Revit) for the creation of detailed and accurate engineering drawings.
3. Collaborate with international design and drafting teams to ensure seamless integration of diverse perspectives and expertise.
4. Foster effective communication channels to enhance project efficiency and team cohesion.
5. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
6. Coordinate with project stakeholders to achieve project goals.
7. Implement rigorous quality control measures to guarantee the accuracy and precision of design documentation.
8. Conduct regular reviews of design work to identify and address potential issues proactively.
9. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to integrate innovative solutions into the design process.
About you
10. Proven experience as a civil designer in the Australian market.
11. Demonstrated experience in water/wastewater projects.
12. Experienced in using multiple design software platforms, particularly in the AutoDesk suite.
13. Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering Technology preferred but not essential.
