As a Sales Development Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Qatar as a tourism destination.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key travel agencies and tour operators to increase the placement of Qatar products and drive adoption of the Qatar Stopover Program. A strategic approach is essential to achieving maximum visitation to Qatar.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop long-term strategic partnerships with key trade and promotional partners.
2. Target travel agencies and tour operators to increase product placement and drive adoption of the Qatar Stopover Program through target-based marketing agreements.
3. Prepare account development plans to achieve mutual benefits for trade and promotional partners.
4. Develop internal proposals articulating opportunities and return on investment for projects promoting Qatar in the market.
5. Execute key account activity plans and initiatives to promote Qatar and drive visitation, supported by regional management and Doha-based coordinators.
6. Collaborate with Qatar Airways and Discover Qatar sales teams to promote the Qatar Stopover Program and Qatar as a tourism destination.
7. Provide training to partners to confidently sell and promote Qatar.
8. Coordinate trade shows, workshops, and fam trips.
9. Coordinate trade marketing efforts across trade media channels.
10. Collaborate with stakeholders – Qatar Airways, hotels, Discover Qatar, other DMCs, and Qatar attractions.
11. Generate monthly sales reports and communicate priorities, successes, and blockers with the Regional Market Manager.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience.
2. Experience generating and delivering target-driven partnerships/commercial agreements.
3. Proven track record in managing travel agency groups and delivering results.
4. Experience in managing trade incentives.
5. Experience in organizing and running training and trade show sessions.
6. Experience in organizing and hosting FAM trips.
7. Ability to influence multiple stakeholders to articulate opportunities.
8. Knowledgeable on what drives trade sales from targeted markets.
9. Hands-on attitude and ability to decide and react under pressure.
10. Collaborative mindset and adaptability to manage multiple deadlines.
11. Aptitude for destination marketing and experience with trade and consumer media.
12. Frequent interstate and international travel required.
