As a Lecturer at the School of Historical and Philosophical Studies, you will have the opportunity to teach and develop subjects in Metaphysics and Philosophy of Science. You will play a key role in advancing research, supervising honours students, and engaging with academic networks both nationally and internationally. This position offers you the chance to contribute to a vibrant academic community and make a lasting impact in your field.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Lead Engaging Teaching: Coordinate and deliver subjects in Philosophy, including developing technology-based teaching resources.
* Advance Research Excellence: Publish peer-reviewed articles and collaborate on interdisciplinary research projects.
* Foster Academic Networks: Cultivate research links with campus groups and external partners.
* Demonstrate Leadership: Engage actively in service and leadership roles within the discipline and school.

You will have a proven track record in teaching and research in Metaphysics and Philosophy of Science, with the ability to supervise honours students and engage in academic networks.

You will also:

The School of Historical and Philosophical Studies was formed in 2011 and comprises the programs of History, History and Philosophy of Science, Philosophy, Classics and Archaeology, the Grimwade Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation and the Program in Jewish Culture and Society.
