Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to support a high-profile program delivering web portals, applications and integration solutions hosted on Microsoft Azure.
The engineer will work with multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating with developers, solution architects, and platform specialists to ensure Azure environments are correctly configured, secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards.
The Azure Engineer will also play a key role in supporting deployment automation and ensuring the consistency and reliability of the Azure hosting environment.This is your chance to make a difference for our Federal Government client in this 12 month contract with an additional 24 months of extensions offered.Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain a NV1 security clearance will be considered for this role.Key duties and responsibilities:Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to define, provision and maintain Azure based solutions supporting scalability, resilience, and performance, in line with business requirements and software development standards.Participate in solution design discussions, offering input on Azure architecture, services, and trade-offs.Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) using Bicep templates, integrated with Azure Dev Ops version control and CI/CD pipelines.Work effectively in collaboration with application and platform teams to Troubleshoot and resolve Azure environment issues.Ensure deadlines are consistently met and that a high standard of technical and design documentation is provided.Ensure all infrastructure configurations comply with enterprise architecture, cloud governance, security policies, and naming conventions.Monitor and report on environment usage, cost, and performance, providing recommendations for optimisation.The experience and skills for this role are:Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing enterprise IT solutions consuming Azure services - including, but not limited to the following:Infrastructure as a service (Iaa S)Serverless Compute - Azure Functions, Web AppsStorage - blobs, files shares, queues and tablesIntegration - Service Bus and Event HubIdentity - Entra ID (AAD), Azure B2 C and Entra ID ConnectAPI Management (APIM) - developing APIs, APIM maintenance and infrastructureDemonstrated experience with managing, maintaining and migrating solution infrastructure to the Azure platform from on-premises or other private cloud infrastructure.Demonstrated experience with maintaining solution infrastructure on the Azure platform including:Identity maintenance and management (service principals, managed identities, etc)Patching ActivitiesSolution cost optimizationUnderstanding of Azure networking concepts and technologies and demonstrated knowledge of risk management principles and processes in context of Infrastructure managementKnowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements for cloud infrastructure and experience with monitoring tools and logging frameworks to ensure the reliability and security of deployed solutions.To be considered for this opportunity, APPLY to this advertisement.For more information about the role, contact JUSTIN on .If you are unsuccessful in this application, with your permission we would like to keep you in consideration for future roles that may suit you better.
