Marine Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Chief Engineer is the head of the Engineer Department responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and electrical equipment. They are accountable for maintenance, repairs, and inspections ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain all shipboard machinery and electrical systems
- Conduct regular inspections and reporting to ensure vessel safety and efficiency
- Plan and execute routine maintenance and repairs in accordance with established procedures
- Collaborate with senior personnel to achieve optimal vessel performance and compliance
Requirements:
- Valid AMSA Marine Engineer Class 1 certificate
- Minimum 12 months experience as a First Engineer at sea
- Current MSIC Card or ability to obtain
- Working Safely at Heights certification or ability to obtain
- Enter and Work in a Confined Workspace certification or ability to obtain
