Cook Responsibilities
Prepare meals in line with the restaurant standards
Support the ordering of food and supplies
Care for food supplies and leftovers appropriately
Infusing flavours by adding seasonings
Maintain and operate the kitchen in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner the cooking process
Prepare meals for special events and additions functions, adjusting the dishes accordingly with the dietary needs of the customers
Artfully plating dishes with appropriate portions, accompanied by sauces, gravies, and garnishes.
Develop menu suggestion
Check on store food and supplies are delivered
Controlling the temperature of ovens, grills, and various cooking equipment
Chef Responsibilities
Create seasonal menu and other special menus;
Inventorying food, ingredient, and supply stock to prepare and plan vendor orders; manage the budget;
Ensure food standards, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques meet our high standards;
Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment;
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation and ensure appealing plate presentation;
Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures; - Preparing and cooking food in a timely manner;
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
Hire, train and manage kitchen staff;
Verify compliance in preparation of menu items and customer special requests.
Cook Skills and Experience
Relevant qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification
At least 1 year of experience
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Chef Skills and Experience
Relevant qualification or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification
At least 1 year of experience
Strong knowledge of general cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
Ability to plan menus and assist with food costing and stock control.
Leadership skills and ability to supervise or guide kitchen staff.
